Darren is a lecturer at Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia since 2013, where he teaches the 3-day CFA Level 1 boot camp (all topics) and an introductory finance course at the University’s Finance Division. 

At the same time, he’s a professional trainer at John Wiley & Son’s global CFA Level 1 virtual classroom (since 2014), and a guest lecturer and curriculum development with AB Maximus & Co in Singapore (since 2008). 

Prior to this, he held the of lead instructor and faculty manager roles for the CFA programme, focusing on CFA Level 1 and 2, in various global educational companies such as Morgan, Top Finance, Becker and Stalla between 2004 and 2015. Before starting his academic career, he was a risk analyst and accountant at HSBC in Vancouver, Canada between 1995-2008. 

Darren holds the CFA and PRM charters, graduated with a Master in Accounting and Financial Management (Devry University) in 2012 and Bachelor of Commerce (University of British Columbia) in 1996.
